Take your Tap product out of the package
Unlock your smartphone
Tap and hold your Reach on the back of your device
Click the NFC notification
Engage!

Your phone is always "searching" for NFC tags, but if you haven't scanned one in an extended amount of time, it could take a few seconds for your phone to recognize the Reach.
Almost all of our clients put their Novity products on every chair in their auditoriums for the following two reasons:

Some Androids require the user to turn on "NFC" in settings.
